The Life of a Tasmanian Devil

There are several wildlife sanctuaries in Tasmania who work to ensure the continuing existence of the Tasmanian devil, they have breeding programs and exchange programs with national and international zoos. The devil is a very popular animal and the recently Tasmania has made it the official state icon. Locals and interstate travellers visit the parks to see this species which would be almost impossible to guarantee a sighting in the wild.
