The Namib-Naukluft National Park stretching from Sesriem all the way to the rugged coastline where the South Atlantic Ocean meets the highest sand dunes in the world. The area has received huge amounts of rain during February causing the Sesriem Canyon to flood, pools to appear in the middle of the desert and dormant vegetation to bloom across the sandy golden landscape, the first time in over a decade. Scenes from Namibia's Sossusvlei region, photographs from the ground and aerials from a privately chartered helicopter.
